As you are probably all well aware, I am not a fan of my freckles. Resembling more of dark splodges on my face, I am not averse to trying my hand at anything that will help lessen pigmentation. So, in other words, I know a good whitening/ lightening product when I see one, and here are my top 3.
We all know that the best time to replenish the skin is at night, so, the best time to lighten your skin is also at night: when the suns rays aren't damaging all your hard work. In case it wasn't blatant, I am an avid lover of things natural and Phyt's products have hit the 'natural-target'. Their White Bio-Active range works hard to achieve a brighter complexion whilst maintaining hydration levels, and does it using all organic ingredients. Umm hello, can anyone say win!?
The White Bio Active Creme de Nuit is not cheap ($127 a tube), but it has been effective at refining my complexion when combined with their Creme de Jour Eclaircissante. With Vitamin C, A and PWE photo complex, I have been left with a healthy and radiant looking complexion: fooling everyone into thinking I have had enough sleep (ohh how I need a good nights sleep)!
For best results, use for 48 nights in conjunction with their White Bio-Active range.
You may know about my deep love for this baby (from my Beauty Heaven BlogStar Winning article). Zoe Foster raves about it as it not only helps fade pigmentation, but it also helps to lessen purple acne scarring (check out this great article from Primped).
Superfade works from beneath the surface with it's super-ingredient: hydroquinone. I cannot fault this little Australian-owned and made cream. At $29.95 (from most leading Pharmacies) you can't go wrong.

This brand has been on my radar for years now, and I am a long standing customer. Haven fallen head over heels for their Drying Mask, I have now become a big admirer of their Whitening Mask.
I have been utilising every ounce of spare time to get my skin in top notch, and as such, have been using this mask 2-3 times a week when I have a spare 10 minutes at night. One thing I was amazed by is the fact it does not dry the skin out, but actually leaves it quite plump and soft: something a mask rarely does. Mimicking the ingredients of a fruit smoothie, this little tub of brightener contains Kojic Acid, Mulberry and Licorice. I often feel I should be ingesting it rather then applying it to my face. But, alas, it a face mask: and an epically clever and well-worth it one at that!
Another great thing to note is the fact that Kit Cosmetics have dropped their prices on all Mario Badescu stock; so this is a steal at $28.95.
Do you use Pigmentation products?

superfade is a wicked blemish/ scar remover. I havent tried Phyt's but I am always looking for creams to brighten my dull complexion: must give it a go.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great advice xxxxx
Did we must use three of them to get white and brighter skin? If that so for how long we must use of them so we could see the result? I want to knew before I use them a lot. Sorry for asking too much question just make sure I find the right product.
ReplyDeleteHey Yamato,
DeleteGreat question! I used the Superfade first for 4 months: and had great results. I then got sent the Phyt's to try and was using it whilst using Mario Badescu mask. You could use all three together: as superfade is a spot treatment (so you don't use it over all your skin, just on freckles or scaring).
In saying that, these products basically help to lighten skin and make it more luminous and even toned. It does not whiten darker skin tones. I hope that answers your question :)
